Tobogganing
This activity is a highlight during every winter holiday here in the Alps. From the Haus Olympia, our guests can pick from three excellent toboggan tracks that are all only a few short minutes away.
Igls – Heiligwasser
Length: 3 km; Elevation: 240 m
Sistranser Alm
Length: 5 km; Elevation: 689 m
Rinner Alm
Length: 5 km; Elevation: 464 m
This toboggan track is even illuminated for night tobogganing a few days per week.
All guests here at the Haus Olympia receive the Welcome Card for free upon arrival and can take advantage of a free guided toboggan tour suited for families and children, which is kindly offered once a week.
We are looking forward to a brand new toboggan track to be opened this 2018/19 winter season at the Patscherkofel, which will also be illuminated for tobogganing after dark.
Bobsleigh Ride
The Bobsleigh track in Igls is only a few minutes' drive from our Haus Olympia and offers guests the unique opportunity to experience this sport first-hand in the guest-bob.
- during winter on the ice on the bobsleigh track
- during summer on wheels on the bobsleigh track
Race down the track at speeds of up to 100 km/h on special bobsleighs through the 14 turns, down 1,210 metres on the Olympic bobsleigh track, and arrive at the bottom with a racing heartbeat. Feel the speed and gravitational forces as you glide through the "Kreisel" and "Labyrynth" sections of the run and really earn your diploma you receive after you cross the finish line.
